How it works
Spotify knows your albums, but it treats audiobooks like music and forgets where you stopped. SpotiBooks fills that gap: it turns any Spotify album into a properly tracked audiobook with a bookmark that follows you.
1. Sign in with Spotify
Log in with your Spotify account. No separate registration or password, Spotify handles identity.
2. Tag albums as books
Search Spotify and tag any album as a book. Anything released as an album works.
3. We track your progress
SpotiBooks watches your Spotify playback and remembers where you are in every book.
4. Resume exactly there
Jump back in at your saved position on any device: phone, desktop or smart speaker.

Is SpotiBooks made by Spotify?
No. SpotiBooks is a private hobby project, built and run by one person. It connects to Spotify through their official interface, but Spotify didn't make it and doesn't endorse it.
Do I need Spotify Premium?
A free Spotify account is enough to sign in and track your progress. Starting playback on your devices directly from SpotiBooks requires Premium. That's a Spotify rule, not ours.
What can SpotiBooks see in my account?
Only what it needs to work: your name, your saved albums and what you've been listening to. Your email address and password are never shared with SpotiBooks, since signing in happens entirely on Spotify's own page.
Do you track everything I listen to?
No. SpotiBooks only saves the listening activity of albums you've tagged as books. Everything else you play on Spotify, be it music, podcasts or anything untagged, is ignored by our server and never stored.
Where is my progress saved?
Your tagged books and listening positions are kept in a small private database, so they're waiting for you on any device when you come back. Nothing is shared with or sold to anyone.
Why hasn't my progress updated yet?
SpotiBooks regularly fetches your latest listening activity from Spotify in the background, so positions can lag a little behind. Opening the app already triggers a fresh check. And if you don't want to wait, you can start one manually anytime from your account menu in the top right. Note that background syncing pauses if you haven't used the app for more than 7 days, and resumes automatically the next time you open it.
Can I delete my data?
Anytime, right in the app: open your account menu in the top right and choose "Delete account". After a confirmation, everything linked to your account, meaning tagged books and listening progress, is permanently removed. If you ever run into trouble, the email address below works too.
